Illinois State Parks with Electric Hookups

Not every Illinois campground has electric sites, and the ones that do vary widely in capacity, max vehicle length, and pull-through vs. back-in layout. Here are the best options for RV and trailer camping.

What to know about electric sites in Illinois

  • Most electric sites are 30 amp. A few parks offer 50 amp for larger RVs. Check the reservation listing for amp rating before booking.
  • Pull-through sites are rare. Most Illinois state parks are back-in only. Kankakee River is a notable exception with 12 pull-through sites.
  • Max vehicle length varies. Some sites list 30-foot limits, others accommodate 60+ feet. Each Tentahead listing shows the max vehicle length from reservation data.
  • Water hookups are uncommon. Most electric sites have electric only. Dump stations are available at most parks with RV sites.
