Located on a glacial moraine that forms the beautiful, rolling hills of Henry County in north-central Illinois, the park sits astride a trail that led Native Americans from Lake Michigan to the confluence of the Mississippi and Rock rivers. Directions

From Chicago take I-55 South to Rte # 80 West. Continue West to the Kewanee/Prophetstown exit (#33). Turn left onto IL-78 South and continue straight on IL-78 South approximately 5 miles until you see signs for the park.

It is illegal to bring or possess on IDNR properties any firewood from out-of-state or from a quarantine area or adjacent counties where wood exportation or movement has been prohibited by State or Federal Law.
