A trip to pictureesque Morrison-Rockwood State Park offers many memorable experiences. Once inside, choose from a variety of recreational opportunities. Beautiful Lake Carlton, a stream-fed reservoir is one of Illinois top fisheries. Muskie, Walley, Catfish, Bluegill & Crappie are just some of the fish caught at Lake Carlton. From mid April to mid October we offer a Boat Rental / Bait Sales with a full service resturant. The site offers over 14 miles of Equestrian trails and over 4 miles of Hiking Trails. We have a two lane boat ramp for anyone wishing to bring a boat. We offer several picnic areas with picnic tables and grills for your use. The site has 92 Class "A" campsites that are primarily wooded. The campground has playground equipment for the kids and a shower facility as well. Opened in 1971 the 1150 acre site is one of Illinois best kept secrets.

From I-88, take exit 26 and go North on CR78 to Morrison. Turn left onto Lincolnway, right onto N. Orange St., continue straight onto Crosby Rd. until you reach the park.
